How to unroot your Android Mobile

For all the good that is rooting, you may want to go back to the way things were. Whatever method you decide to attempt, make sure that you backup your data first.

    Unroot with SuperSU

SuperSU allows you to unroot phones by simply going into the app’s settings and selecting the full unroot option. It is a really helpful option.
Open the SuperSU app. Go to Settings, and scroll all the way to the bottom until you see the Full unroot button. Tap it, hit continue, and the unrooting process will begin.

    Unroot with Universal Unroot app

There is an app that will do some of the hard work for you. It is called Universal Unroot, and it gets rid of root privileges in most Android devices. But it is not perfect.
Most Samsung devices are not compatible, for starters. And LG devices will be unrooted, but still show as rooted afterwards.

    Unroot by flashing stock firmware

One of the most thorough ways to remove root access is by flashing your device with factory firmware. It will wipe your phone or tablet clean of any root traces, but a word of warning: It is not for the faint of heart.

    unroot by deleting the files

that granted the root in the first place. We recommend using a file explorer app like ES File Explorer. Turn on Root explorer under Tools in the ES File Explorer menu and grant it root privileges, if asked.
    1. Using Es explorer go to root folder '/'.
    2. Go to system > bin, then tap and hold on busybox and su and delete them.
    3. Now go to system > xbin, then tap and hold on busybox and su and delete them.
    4. Finally, go to system > app and delete superuser.apk.
    5. Restart the device and you should be unrooted.

    Unroot with OTA update

Sometimes just installing an OTA update will break root. Look for a software update under Settings > About device. Just be careful, as with some root methods it might prove impossible to recover from. In that case, you may need to flash the original firmware first.
None of the root methods or unrooting methods are without risk, so always back up your data, make sure your device is fully charged, read the instructions carefully, and take your time.

Rooting Android and its cons and pros

    What is rooting in android?
Rooting is the process of getting access to the"root" user. when you "root" your phone you are unlocking the administrative privileges of the phone which by default are locked by the manufacturer. It's similar to 'Jail breaking' in the iPhone.Rooting your device allows you to do things like
    • Overclock or underclock your CPU.
    • Remove those preloaded/Bloatware apps that your phone can't delete.
    • Install certain apps that require root access.
    • Making Nandroid Backup
    • Load custom ROMs. and many more
The manufacturers don't want you to have access to these options for a number of reasons like
    • They want to control and ensure a specific user experience.
    • Certain carriers require that certain functions are locked out because they want you to pay for them or because they are incompatible with their network and many more.

The only risk is bricking your phone.

    Benefits of Rooting
    •  Unlock Hidden Features and Install "Incompatible" apps
Sometimes even Android isn't open enough to give you some of the features you want. Either an app is blocked by carriers, hacks into Android's system files, or otherwise isn't available. Luckily, rooting can help with that: you can install carrier-blocked apps, get features from the latest version of Android, make incompatible apps compatible, power up your hardware, get features like Beats Audio from other phones, or emulate exclusive features.Whatever you want, rooting gives you the power to do a lot more.
    • Automate Everything You've probably heard of Tasker, the awesome app that automates just about anything on your phone.

You don't need to root your phone to use it, but if you're rooted, it can do a whole lot more. Certain tasks, like toggling 3G, GPS, changing CPU speed, turning the screen on, and others require root access. So, if you want to get the full benefit of an app like Tasker, you'll definitely want to root your phone.

      Different types and their usefulness

Custom ROMs are generally of two types: Stock firmware based and AOSP based.
Stock firmware based custom ROMs: These ROMs are a modified version of the stock firmware that your device shipped with. Sometimes, they can also be based on an upcoming leaked firmware that some developer managed to get his hands on. These types of custom ROMs offer the most stability but only have a limited feature set.

AOSP based custom ROMs: These ROMs are based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and are almost always built on the latest version of Android. Since they are based on AOSP, they are devoid of any kind of OEM skin and look just like vanilla Android.
AOSP based ROMs are a great way of bringing the latest version of Android to devices that are more than capable enough of handling it but were ditched by its OEM. They pack in many unique features like multi-window, Halo, DSP Manager and more.
The downside is that since they are somewhat hacked by individuals to make AOSP work on hardware it was not meant for, these kind of ROMs can be a bit unstable or have one or the other hardware functionality broken, which might be a deal-breaker to many.
